Dan Parker, Director of Design
Daniel Parker has been Director of Design since 1984. He has his Bachelors degree in Architecture with honors from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. He also attended The New York School of Interior Design.
Mr. Parker has contributed his creative skills to numerous DD & Co. Inc. projects. He has been Design Architect for numerous world class resorts, high end residential and commercial projects, both domestically and internationally. His responsibilities have included the design and management of a broad range of projects where he also assisted in developing marketing concepts and strategies as well as, supervised the design and construction process. He also created a line of resort wear and accessories with Mr. Varney
Mr. Parker’s expertise has been applied to a wide range of projects, including, The Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, Michigan; The Greenbrier Resort and Spa, White Sulphur Springs, WV; The Plaza Hotel, NYC; The Waldorf Towers, NYC; The Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston, MA; Dromoland Castle Hotel, Ashford Hotel, and Adare Manor Hotel, Ireland; The Breaker’s Hotel and The Brazillain Court Hotel, Palm Beach, FL; Greenbrier West Village Hotel & Golf Resort, Tokyo, Japan; Half Moon Bay Hotel, Jamaica; Villa Madeleine, St Croix, USVI; The American Ambassador’s Residence, Tokyo, Japan; The Governor’s Mansion, Charleston, WV, The U.S Vice Presidential Residence, Washington D.C.; The Residence of President Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter, Plains, GA; The Presidential Yacht Sequoia, numerous residences in North America and recently, the Stoneleigh Hotel, Dallas, TX, The Balfour Cosmopolitan Club, Denver, CO and the Architectural Digest Green Room for the 2008 Academy Awards, Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Parker’s work has been published in Architectural Digest, Veranda, Interior Design, Interiors, Restaurant and Hospitality Design, House & Garden, Good Housekeeping, Men’s Style, Women’s Wear Daily, The New York Times, The Palm Beach Daily News and The Irish Social & Personal.
Prior to joining Dorothy Draper & Co, Inc., Mr. Parker worked for Atmor Construction Co, NY; Anne Eisenhower Interior Design, NY; The New York City Public Development Corporation and Pratt Institute Dept. of Continuing Education.
