Andee Schell

With a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and an Associate’s Degree with Honors in Interior Design from the Art Institute International, Andrea has been a Designer for Dorothy Draper since 2001 where she started as Mr. Varney’s Design Associate, Developer of Carleton Varney By the Yard fabrics and wallcoverings, and Interior Designer. Prior to 2001 Andrea worked for CNN, QVC, Shop NBC and served as Vice President of Sales for the Home Shopping Network where her duties included Set Design, Profit and Loss statistics, Management of the Producers and On-air talent and the hiring of all On-air Guests. In 1991 she hired Mr. Carleton Varney, President of Dorothy Draper to appear on the air as an expert on Design and all things pertaining to Home Décor. Mr. Varney is scheduled to make a second appearance on HSN in 2009. Andrea has been awarded the Excellence in Leadership Award. She is a member of the New York Metro chapter of the ASID and the Penn State Women’s Professional Network. Her design work includes both Commercial and High end Residential work. Some of her most recent projects include a 12,000 sq, ft. home in Jacksonville, FL for the CEO of CSX Transportation , a 10,000 sq. ft. home in Christiansted, ST. Croix, USVI, The Cosmopolitan Club in Denver, CO, the Carollton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield, CT. and the 2007 Academy Awards Green Room in Los Angeles, CA. Andrea’s Design work has been published in Architectural Digest and seen on HGTV.
